Kate Sheppard House & Garden Events Venue

This is one of New Zealand's oldest, and successful venues from where Kate Sheppard staged her work in the suffragette movement. The historic house is a private residence and still pervades an air of professionalism and corporate meetings are made most welcome.    

Camellia Room:
This spacious reception room offers beautiful views out to the garden. French doors open onto the verandah

Peasgood Room:
This room offers floor to ceiling windows overlooking a historic apple tree. Its chapel like atmosphere is perfect for small gatherings or an extension to the Camellia Room.

Cedar Room:
The Cedar Room has natural light spilling in through large windows overlooking the garden. Ideal for small afternoon teas or meetings.

The large lawn areas provide suitable areas for Tai Chi warm ups or other team building events. This is a venue with many options for the meeting planner.  For larger events,  a marquee can be set within the grounds - on the hard surface tennis court.  Quality marquees and furniture are available for hire in Christchurch in order for a venue to be set for up to 200 delegates.

Tea and coffee service is available throughout the day, and lunch served either in the meeting rooms or on the house verandah with awning.
