Cable Bay Vineyards offers a refreshing and inspiring venue a world away from the distractions of the city yet only 35 minutes by ferry from downtown Auckland. 

Nestled amongst vineyards and olive trees, with a vast outdoor lawn framing stunning sea views, Cable Bay Vineyards is a truly unique venue to host your next event. 

With two on-site restaurants, two versatile private rooms, a cellar door and, Cable Bay offers a multitude of options for hosting events and functions. We are able to cater for groups of 10 through to 2,000, with the Bistro, and private rooms each available for exclusive hire.  Additionally, you may hire the entire venue exclusively to really impress your delegates.
Cable Bay boasts a highly qualified and capable Events Team, experienced with every nuance of the venue. Our Event Specialists are able to custom build events to suit your requirements and are passionate about supporting you to realise your event vision.

EVENT SPACES

THE MOTUKAHA ROOM
Our newly renovated Motukaha Room is light and spacious, offering beautiful bay and native bush views through large corner windows. It benefits from a private balcony, creating a wonderful indoor-outdoor flow and an additional space to relax during breaks. Named after Motukaha Island in the bay below Cable Bay, it offers a flexible space which can be set to suit a variety of different event styles and seat up to 36 seated guests.
• Ideal for:  Small-mid sized meetings, seminars and conferences, Christmas functions
• Seats: 36 banquet dining; 50 cocktail; 50 theatre; 26 boardroom; 20 U-shape;  30 classroom
• Features: Private balcony, natural light, black-out blinds

THE WINE LIBRARY
Tucked away in the underground cellar with views through to the stunning wine barrel hall, this opulent room creates a sense of occasion. The Wine Library offers atmospheric lighting from the ornate chandelier above the dining table and the room has an integrated sound system to create your own ambience. The adjacent wine library displays wines from all of our vintages, a fascinating snapshot of Cable Bay’s wine history. 
• Ideal for: Intimate dinners and client entertaining, small meetings, creative brainstorms, board meetings
• Seats: 16 banquet dining; 30 cocktail; 18 theatre; 16 boardroom; 16 classroom
• Features: Adjacent wine library, views to wine barrel hall

THE BISTRO
The Bistro has large windows that open out to stunning views across the lawn and the bay. With pendant atmospheric lighting and pale wooden tables, the room embodies minimalist elegance. A flexible space, it can be sectioned off or opened right up depending on the size of the event. A crackling fire-place creates a cosy haven in winter and the large folding doors open out onto the Al Fresco area during summer, welcoming warm sea breezes. The room features a custom built cellar showcasing a display of Cable Bay wines. 
• Ideal for:  Large conferences, product launches, gala dinners, Christmas functions, cocktail parties
• Seats: 120 banquet dining; 200 cocktail; 100 theatre; other configurations available, break out spaces available
• Features: Natural light including sky-light, ability to section off spaces in room
