Welcome to Edisons, a truly exceptional wedding and events venue, nestled within the historic walls of the old iconic Whangamata Cinema.

Located within the charming Cinema Lane, Edisons stands as a bespoke venue perfect for weddings, private parties, photoshoots, film screenings, conferences, theatre, comedy nights, and any other event worthy of celebration.

Capacity:
- 100 seated
- 170 for standing/cocktail style event

Standard function hire:
Monday - Wednesday event: $600 + GST
Thursday or Sunday event: $1000 + GST
Friday or Saturday event: $1500 + GST

Inclusions:

- Caterers pop up kitchen with oven, prep benches, and 3 phase power
- Sound system for PA and background music
- Cleaning post event
- Glassware
- Hot water urn

Optional extras:

- Folding tari chairs (walnut): $5 + GST each
- Tables: $30 + GST each
- Projector: $50 + GST
- Stage hire: $50 + GST

Wedding package:

- Friday or Saturday wedding: $3900 + GST
- Sunday to Thursday wedding: $3400 + GST

Wedding package inclusions:
· 2 day venue hire (day before for setup, and day of wedding)
· All Edisons furniture and decor
· Wedding day run sheet, and on the day coordinator
· Chiller trailer
· Service kitchen with oven, sink and prep benches
· Sound system for PA and music
· Glassware
· Plateware and cutlery for up to 50 pax

We are able to provide recommendations for catering, suited to your event.
The venue holds an on licence, different beverage options are available.

The venue is available 7 days a week and closes at 12am.
