Beautiful Homestead Available for Functions

Live some history in the heritage setting of our totara paneled hall - recognized by Heritage NZ as “one of the best examples of interior timber paneling in New Zealand.” Smaller functions or meetings can be accommodated in our dining room seated around the 130 year old mahogany table.

A complementary house tour and a talk on the history of the homestead and family can be included with any function.

Gwavas Garden & Homestead is a perfect location for corporate functions, weddings, meetings, product launch, cocktail function, significant celebration or a family reunion.

Weddings:

We would love to share our beautiful garden with you on your special day. If you are looking for a mass of colour the garden is at its peak flowering from late September through to the end of November. The garden continues to provide a glorious setting right through to autumn. There is always something flowering or a waft of perfume in the air and you and your guests are free to wander throughout.

Gwavas Garden is exclusively yours for your wedding day. The venue is also available to you the day before, for the purpose of setting up or rehearsal and is available up to 12 pm the following day for collection of any personal items.

The Swinhoe suite is available to the bride and groom at a discounted rate the night of the wedding, including breakfast. Gwavas Garden is a fully licensed premise and can provide all your beverage requirements. If we provide the beverages we would also provide the glassware.
