Gethsemane Gardens & Noah's Ark Cantebury

Weddings - Gethsemane Gardens has a reputation as one of Christchurch's most romantic wedding and reception venues. Our facilities are available for booking any day of the week for Weddings, Christenings, Funerals, etc.  



Arkangel Chapel



Adjoining the gardens and car park and situated on the upper deck of Noah's Ark, this chapel is made of logs and has glorious views. It is heated and seats up to 120 people. Clergy or celebrants may take your service which must include some Christian content.



Noah's Ark is specially designed for weddings, receptions, concerts, seminars and conferences. The upper deck houses the Arkangel Chapel.



The Arktivity Lounge is on the middle deck and is for pre-dinner drinks and hors d'oeuvres, luncheons, receptions and other social gatherings.



The Arkasions Ballroom, on the lower deck, is for wedding receptions, buffet meals, dancing, concerts and conferences.



Bar and catering facilities are in both lower decks.



Menus and bar prices are available on request.



Two hours are allowed between ceremonies.



Photographs may be taken in the chapels or garden areas.



No confetti, rose petals or similar, or alcohol is permitted in the chapel or garden areas.



Ample parking is available.
