The Christchurch Tramway Restaurant is a superb venue for conferences, events or special functions.We can develop a menu and theme to suit your needs for breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktail hours and other combined restaurant packages.



Tramway Cocktail Hour Experience

Guests board their exclusive private tram and enjoy the mouth-watering selections of bite sized canapés and our selection of New Zealand beers, sparkling wines, soft drinks and juice. The hour can be booked with or without canapés.



Cocktail Hour / Dinner Package

Combine the unique Christchurch Tram with Christchurch’s leading restaurants. Guests enjoy the Cocktail Hour Experience (as outlined above) followed by the choice of dining at selected restaurants.

Commencing at the top of New Regent Street near the junction with Armagh Street, the Tram passes through this quaint pedestrian-only arcade with it's Spanish style buildings and sunny cafes, and then through Cathedral Junction which is home to several of the city's restored hotels. Turning right at Worcester Street it then heads west through Cathedral Square, across the Avon River, past the Art Gallery and into Worcester Boulevard at the end of which the Arts centre and Botanic Gardens await. Here the Tram retraces it's steps, and once stage 2 is complete, will turn right to run along Oxford Terrace and the river bank. Heading left into Cashel Street it travels through the Re-Start mall and begins it's return journey from the mall's eastern end at the junction with High Street.
