Stylish retro shared space available soon in Western Springs/Mount Albert. We are looking for people in creative industries such as film/TV/etc, photography, art, fashion, design, etc. (or people who get along well with creative types).



Only one minute from the motorway and a 7 minute walk from the train station, the 370m² space is funky, light and open, with two large private offices/rooms at one end. Originally the local tearooms in the 1950s, it has a large kitchen at the other end, with a big gas stove/oven and dishwasher. It also has a 20m² new bathroom with a claw-foot bath and separate shower. The area in front of the kitchen is used as a shared lounge/waiting area. There is another smaller private room at the kitchen end.



The private room at the kitchen end is light, 20m², and is available for $160 per week.



The other private rooms are 35m² each, and are also light with large windows. They are available for $280 each (or both for $500).



The main open plan area is available in blocks of 6 square metres each (6x1m). Minimum size is two blocks (6x2m, about the size and shape of a shipping container). Pricing per week is as follows:



2 blocks: $41.74 per block ex. GST ($48 inc. GST) = $6.96/m² ex. GST ($8 inc. GST)

3 blocks: $39.13 per block ex. GST ($45 inc. GST) = $6.52/m² ex. GST ($7.50 inc. GST)

4-5 blocks: $36.52 per block ex. GST ($42 inc. GST) = $6.09/m² ex. GST ($7 inc. GST)

6-7 blocks: $33.91 per block ex. GST ($39 inc. GST) = $5.65/m² ex. GST ($6.50 inc. GST)

8-11 blocks: $31.30 per block ex. GST ($36 inc. GST) = $5.22/m² ex. GST ($6 inc. GST)

12-15 blocks: $28.70 per block ex. GST ($33 inc. GST) = $4.78/m² ex. GST ($5.50 inc. GST)

16-32 blocks: $26.09 per block ex. GST ($30 inc. GST) = $4.35/m² ex. GST ($5 inc. GST)



E.g. 2 blocks would be $83.48 ex. GST ($96 inc. GST) per week. Curtains or other partitioning can be organised with us.



SHORT TERM / REHEARSAL SPACE: The rooms and/or main space may be available for short term use  (by week, day, or even hour) as a rehearsal space or similar. Please contact us if you are interested in hiring the space for short term use. We will not be hiring the space for rehearsals while it is being let out for studios/offices (for obvious reasons).



A live-in option for the private rooms is possibly available by negotiation. Internet and land line(s) may also be available by negotiation.
